You will oversee projects from the feasibility stage through to construction, delivering resource solutions specifically designed for public power utilities. The scope of projects varies significantly, encompassing both smaller renewable energy endeavors and expansive conventional energy initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
- Project Management: Direct all stages of development for innovative technology and power management projects, including identifying needs, preparing proposals, forming and leading project teams, and crafting project plans and budgets.
- Leadership: Offer guidance to administrative and technical teams, ensuring seamless project execution. Manage procurement processes, arrange project financing, and collaborate with Operations and Maintenance (O&M) teams for accurate cost projections.
- Negotiation & Agreements: Facilitate negotiations for term sheets, Power Purchase Agreements (PPAs), and other development agreements in partnership with business sector managers.
- Industry Expertise: Remain well-informed about current power supply technologies by engaging in industry events and reviewing technical literature, while fostering strong professional relationships in the energy sector.
- Power Supply Knowledge: Comprehensive understanding of various power supply technologies and familiarity with environmental regulations and permitting processes.
- Management Skills: Proven leadership capabilities, including team formation, contractor management, and budget oversight.
- Communication Skills: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey complex information clearly to diverse audiences.
- Collaboration & Problem Solving: Effectively resolve intricate project planning, regulatory, and financial issues while aligning with organizational goals.
- Adaptability: Proven ability to thrive within diverse teams and navigate interpersonal challenges, demonstrating leadership and mentorship skills.
- Level 1: Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution with a minimum of 5 years of experience in program or project management; or an Associate's degree with 7 years of experience; or a High School Diploma/GED with 9 years of relevant experience.
- Level 2: Bachelor's degree with 8 years of progressive experience in an electric public utility or equivalent organization; or an Associate's degree with 10 years of experience; or a High School Diploma/GED with 12 years of experience.
- Level 3: Bachelor's degree with 10 years of progressive experience in an electric public utility or equivalent organization; or an Associate's degree with 12 years of experience; or a High School Diploma/GED with 14 years of experience.
