Key Responsibilities
- Lead the execution and completion of civil engineering projects, ensuring they adhere to budgetary and quality standards.
- Develop, implement, and manage project timelines and budgets, with a proactive approach to identifying and addressing potential issues.
- Prepare and deliver comprehensive project reports, tracking key performance indicators and financial forecasts.
- Foster strong relationships with clients, regulatory agencies, and project stakeholders through transparent communication.
- Oversee project documentation, including pay applications, RFIs, and change orders, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
- Collaborate with the General Superintendent in resource allocation to optimize project execution.
- Represent the organization in project meetings, delivering insights and updates as required.
- Mentor junior team members, contributing to their professional growth and development.
- Uphold safety standards and ensure adherence to all regulations and site policies.
- Proven track record of managing substantial construction projects or multiple smaller-scale projects effectively.
- Strong leadership capabilities with experience in supervising a team of engineers and assistants.
- Comprehensive understanding of contract law, skilled in negotiating change orders and subcontracts.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication abilities, capable of conveying complex information succinctly.
- Proficient in project management software, including ProCore, Primavera, and MS Office Suite.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills, with an ability to prioritize tasks efficiently.
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related discipline, or equivalent experience in project management.
- Demonstrable experience in heavy civil construction and project oversight.
