Key Responsibilities

• Leverage engineering acumen to design systems for Power, Lighting, Grounding, Lightning Protection, Fire Alarm, and Low Voltage.
• Spearhead the creation of electrical designs from initial concept through to construction documentation and administration.
• Conduct load demand calculations, develop one-line distribution schematics, and perform load flow, short-circuit analysis, and arc flash hazard assessments.
• Guide and mentor junior engineers, facilitating their professional development.
• Ensure that design documents comply with relevant codes, specifications, and standards through thorough review.
• Collaborate closely with team members and clients, ensuring effective communication to achieve successful project results.
• Produce organized, precise technical documentation such as Basis of Design (BOD), design criteria, feasibility studies, and engineering reports.
• Utilize design tools such as Revit and AutoCAD to create accurate system layouts and drawings.
• Conduct field verification and site assessments as necessary to determine project requirements.
  
  

Required Skills

• Technical Expertise: Proficient in designing Power, Lighting, Grounding, Lightning Protection, Fire Alarm, and Low Voltage systems. Experience with Medium Voltage Equipment and in healthcare or aerospace sectors is advantageous.
• Leadership Abilities: Capable of leading and nurturing a team of engineers while fostering a positive and efficient work atmosphere.
• Design Skills: Strong competency in electrical calculations and proficiency in design software such as Revit and AutoCAD.
• Communication Skills: Exceptional written and verbal communication abilities, adept at producing detailed technical documentation and collaborating with team members and clients.
• Collaboration: A proven team player who works effectively within a group while maintaining accountability for individual tasks.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering (or equivalent) from an ABET-accredited institution.
• A minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in an MEP or AE engineering firm.
• Preference for candidates with a Professional Engineer (PE) license (EIT may be considered).
• Proficient in Revit and AutoCAD.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• Ability to independently manage time and work effectively in a remote environment.
• U.S. Citizenship or Permanent Residency is required.
