Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate effectively with team members and customer agencies to address service or incident tickets, ensuring timely resolution of issues.
- Leverage your technical proficiency to design and implement scripts and workflows aimed at automating administrative processes.
- Communicate project timelines and resource estimates with clarity, while developing comprehensive training materials and documentation for end-users.
- Under general supervision, manage all stages of application development and maintenance, conducting thorough research on system enhancements.
- Design, code, test, and document applications and scripts, providing production support for both straightforward and complex solutions.
- Offer guidance and mentorship to junior team members, if applicable, and lead smaller projects or components of larger initiatives.
- Proficient in written and verbal communication, allowing for effective collaboration and documentation.
- Strong organizational, planning, and problem-solving abilities, coupled with decisive action in complex situations.
- A proactive approach to learning new technologies and adapting to evolving project requirements.
- A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Geography/GIS, or a closely related field. Equivalent experience may be considered on a year-for-year basis.
- A minimum of one year of experience with scripting languages, APIs, and modules including JavaScript, HTML, CSS, Pandas, ArcPy, ArcGIS API, PowerShell, and REST APIs.
- At least one year of experience working with Microsoft SQL Enterprise Databases (v2016 ) and/or PostgreSQL databases.
- A minimum of two years of experience in scripting with Python and a demonstrated ability to develop policies and workflows for collaborative environments.
