Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with colleagues and customer agencies to address service or incident tickets, ensuring effective solutions.
- Develop scripts and workflows to automate administrative functions, utilizing your skills in Python and other scripting languages.
- Communicate project timelines and resource estimates clearly while preparing training materials and documentation for end-users.
- Manage all development and maintenance phases for assigned applications and scripts under general supervision.
- Investigate system enhancements and conduct computer application analysis and design.
- Design, code, test, and document applications and scripts while providing support for both straightforward and complex applications.
- Mentor less experienced team members and take the lead on small to medium-scale projects when applicable.
- Strong written and verbal communication capabilities.
- Excellent organizational, planning, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- A proactive attitude toward learning and adapting to new technologies.
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Geography/GIS, or a related field. Equivalent experience may be considered in lieu of formal education.
- At least one year of experience with scripting languages, APIs, and modules such as JavaScript, HTML, CSS, Pandas, ArcPy, ArcGIS API, PowerShell, and REST APIs.
- Minimum of one year of experience working with Microsoft SQL Enterprise Databases (v2016 ) and/or PostgreSQL databases.
- A minimum of two years of experience in Python scripting.
- Proven track record in developing policies and workflows for collaborative environments, including experience creating training and documentation for end users.
