Key Responsibilities
- Deliver clinical supervision to non-licensed staff, fostering their professional development and ensuring efficient management of caseloads.
- Manage program admissions, transitions, and discharges, facilitating a seamless experience for both clients and team members.
- Evaluate crisis situations and assign appropriate follow-up services as necessary.
- Conduct comprehensive initial psychosocial assessments, determine diagnoses, and complete essential documentation, including LOCUS/CALOCUS, for all clients.
- Ensure compliance with state and Managed Care Organization (MCO) guidelines by carrying out required reassessments.
- Lead the development of individualized treatment plans tailored to meet each client’s unique needs.
- Prepare initial authorization request forms for clients at the point of service admission.
- Review and endorse progress notes, providing constructive feedback and support to staff when necessary.
- Engage in clinical reviews as requested or mandated by the Clinical Management Organization (CMO).
- Deliver Community Psychiatric Supportive Treatment (CPST) to clients who have been evaluated and admitted to services.
- Collect pertinent information for re-assessments and ensure completion of all necessary documentation.
- Uphold program policies and procedures to ensure compliance with agency standards.
- Support physicians during medication management appointments as required.
- Be available for on-call support to clients as necessary.
- Complete documentation for assessments and scales within 48 hours post-session.
- Compose accurate progress notes, summaries, and related documents for client services and submit them for clinical supervision.
- Participate in mandatory training and meetings to remain current with best practices and regulatory requirements.
- A Master's degree in Social Work, Counseling, or a related field.
- Active and valid licensure as an LPC or LCSW in good standing.
- Possession of an NPI number, CAQH number, and registration with LA Medicaid.
- Strong organizational, communication, and multitasking abilities.
- Comfort in both oral and written communication formats.
- Capability to meet deadlines and fulfill critical data entry requirements.
- Knowledge of confidentiality, incident reporting, and standards of professional ethics.
- A valid driver's license is mandatory.
- Proficiency in diagnosing individuals according to DSM standards.
- Experience in formulating and implementing treatment plans.
- Demonstrated ability to supervise and mentor non-licensed clinicians.
- Willingness to achieve CPR certification within 45 days if offered the position.
