Key Responsibilities
- Review relevant medical history documentation.
- Conduct one-time, non-treatment compensation and pension examinations for veterans with traumatic brain injuries.
- Document exam responses utilizing a web-based platform.
- Complete all required documentation electronically.
- Evaluate injuries associated with motor vehicle accidents, sports activities, and combat exposure.
- Order necessary diagnostic tests (e.g., MoCA, neuropsychological assessments, X-rays, laboratory tests, EKGs, PFTs, ABIs) as clinically indicated.
- Medical Doctor (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathy (D.O.) with a focus in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation (PM&R), Neurology, or Psychiatry.
- Proven experience in the evaluation of Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI).
- Background in primary care settings.
- An active and unrestricted license in your medical specialty.
- Current and valid Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Capacity to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.
- Strong interpersonal skills with high adaptability.
- Basic proficiency in computer skills.
- Full vaccination status in accordance with CDC and state guidelines.
- Extensive experience evaluating and treating patients with traumatic brain injuries.
- Demonstrated competence in primary care environments.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to foster teamwork.
