In your role as a UAV Remote Sensing Project Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the comprehensive planning, development, and execution of UAV projects. Your leadership will be crucial in ensuring project success and operational efficiency. Key responsibilities include:
- Managing the planning, scheduling, and execution of multiple UAV projects to achieve project milestones
- Leading and mentoring a dedicated team of UAV technicians and specialists, ensuring high-quality work
- Defining project scope and participating actively in contract negotiations
- Developing and overseeing project budgets, implementing necessary corrective actions to maintain project timelines
- Collaborating with staff to establish database and schema requirements, while managing data from UAV platforms
- Coordinating UAV flight requests, pilot assignments, and operational tasks related to data acquisition, including mapping and QA/QC of deliverables
- Overseeing UAV flight and processing software and managing strategic partnerships with industry platforms
- Engaging in business development activities, including responding to RFPs and preparing project proposals
- Bachelor's degree in Geography, Computer Science, GIS, or a related field; Master's preferred
- At least 8 years of relevant experience in GIS or UAV operations
- Remote Pilot Certification is required; Remote Sensing Certification is a plus
- Proficiency in ArcGIS, ArcGIS Server, and related extensions
- Knowledge of relational database management, data analytics, and web-based GIS mapping services
- Strong written and verbal communication abilities, with effective time management skills
- Valid driver's license
