Key Responsibilities
- Directly oversee the administration and maintenance of Oracle and SQL Server databases, guaranteeing peak performance, security, and reliability.
- Collaborate with application developers, data analysts, and data architects to maintain data integrity, reduce redundancy, and enhance database efficiency.
- Engage in on-call rotations to provide 24⁄7 support for production database systems.
- Spearhead the development and adoption of innovative database technologies and best practices.
- Mentor junior database administrators, sharing your knowledge and nurturing a culture of continuous enhancement.
- 8-10 years of extensive experience in Oracle Database Administration (versions 11g, 12c, 19c), with a solid understanding of partitioning, compression, TDE, Data Guard, RMAN, RAC, and Oracle Database cloning.
- Proficient in SQL Server database administration, covering aspects such as maintenance, replication, log shipping, performance tuning, TDE, SSMS, SSIS, and SSRS.
- Skilled in automating database operations through scripting languages, including KRON, PowerShell, and Python.
- Strong technical knowledge of Very Large Database (VLDB) and High Availability (HA) techniques.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities paired with strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- A commitment to continuous learning and adapting to new technologies and industry standards.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field is preferred.
- Proven experience and deep expertise in Oracle and SQL Server Database Administration.
