Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Software Engineer with a passion for open-source software, Linux, and Data Center automation to join our innovative team. Key Responsibilities

• Design and develop core components and functionalities of the MAAS platform to establish it as the premier bare-metal cloud solution.
• Enhance the system architecture of MAAS, focusing on increasing its simplicity, performance, and user-friendliness.
• Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of MAAS with various tools and adherence to release schedules.
• Contribute to the continuous integration environment, ensuring timely feedback and extensive test coverage.
• Assist in producing high-quality documentation for Data Center operators and end-users.
• Foster technical communication and teamwork to drive impactful results.
• Take initiative in addressing challenges and lead them to successful resolutions.
• Engage in international travel several times a year to collaborate with our global teams.
  
  

Required Skills

• Extensive experience in software development, particularly with expertise in Python, Go (for back-end positions), or TypeScript, React (for front-end roles).
• Quick adaptability to new systems and technologies, combined with strong logical reasoning, problem-solving, and troubleshooting abilities.
• Proficient in written and verbal communication in English.
• Familiarity with Linux server technologies, such as Virtualization (KVM), Containers (LXC), and others.
• Knowledge of network technologies including PXE, DHCP, TFTP, DNS, and NTP.
• Experience with Baseboard Management Controllers and related protocols (Redfish, IPMI, AMT).
• Solid understanding of networking, storage technologies, and cloud hosting/infrastructure.
• Ideally, experience with large-scale physical server provisioning and automation, focusing on rapid deployment, configuration, management, and orchestration.
• Knowledge of open-source development tools and methodologies, including Launchpad and Debian packaging (APT, dpkg).
  
  

Qualifications

• A Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) in Computer Science, STEM, or a related discipline is required.
• Willingness to travel up to four times annually for team events.
