We are seeking a talented Senior Engineer specializing in Telemetry to join our remote engineering team. Key Responsibilities

• Engage collaboratively with a diverse and globally distributed team in a remote work setting.
• Architect scalable service APIs to facilitate seamless data streaming across teams and products using Python and Golang.
• Develop robust systems for data governance, management, and auditing within our telemetry platform.
• Collaborate closely with the infrastructure team to create both cloud-based SaaS offerings and containerized on-premises solutions.
• Design and implement new features from initial specifications through to production, ensuring operational excellence at scale.
• Review code and technical designs produced by colleagues to uphold quality and consistency.
• Actively participate in discussions to devise optimal solutions to complex technical challenges.
• Be open to occasional travel (2 to 4 weeks a year) for internal and external engagements.

• Familiarity with telemetry and connectivity systems, including data streaming technologies (e.g., MQTT, Kafka, RabbitMQ), observability tools (e.g., OpenTelemetry), and industrial data exchange protocols (e.g., OPC-UA, ModBus).
• Proven experience in designing and implementing backend web services, messaging/data pipelines, and REST APIs using Python and/or Golang.
• Proficiency with Ubuntu as a development and deployment platform.
  
  

Qualifications

• A Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Computer Science, STEM, or a related field.
• Willingness to travel up to four times per year for internal events.
