Key Responsibilities
- Conduct complex imaging examinations with accuracy and compassion.
- Analyze requisitions and patient medical records to determine the suitable imaging procedures.
- Ensure patient safety through accurate identification and adherence to protocols.
- Select appropriate imaging equipment and technical factors for optimal results.
- Evaluate patients’ physical and emotional conditions and formulate tailored care plans.
- Communicate imaging processes to patients and their families, addressing any concerns they may have.
- Uphold departmental quality control standards and maintain data integrity.
- Maintain a welcoming and supportive atmosphere for patients and their families.
- Promptly identify and report any equipment issues.
- Assist in the coordination of daily operations, including supply management and quality assurance initiatives.
- Cultivate a positive team dynamic and contribute to departmental endeavors.
- Mentor and train less experienced staff, fostering a culture of continuous learning.
- Participate actively in departmental meetings and ensure timely documentation.
- Adhere to all relevant regulations and institutional policies.
- Exceptional attention to detail and strong communication capabilities.
- Comprehensive understanding of patient care standards.
- Proficient in assessing the physical and emotional needs of patients.
- Ability to mentor colleagues and students effectively.
- Skilled in operating advanced imaging technology.
- Registered with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
- Valid ARRT certification.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- An Associate’s Degree in Radiologic Technology or a related field.
- Minimum of three years of experience as a Radiologic Technologist.
- Current Massachusetts Radiologic Technologist license for General Radiography.
