We are looking for a dedicated Information Assurance and Security Specialist to enhance our IT Asset Management (ITAM) team in a remote capacity. In this pivotal role, you will provide crucial technical support, ensure adherence to security protocols, and uphold the integrity of our organization's IT systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver exceptional customer support through various channels, including phone, web portal, and email, to resolve end-user issues promptly and efficiently.
- Oversee the provisioning and setup of systems for new employees, ensuring a smooth onboarding experience.
- Prioritize and manage incidents and service requests in alignment with established processes, ensuring compliance with service-level agreements (SLAs).
- Utilize remote tools and diagnostic utilities to address support requests, performing hands-on fixes such as hardware repairs and the delivery of peripherals when necessary.
- Install, configure, and maintain the hardware and software components across our network infrastructure.
- Ensure that antivirus software is effectively installed and updated to safeguard systems against potential threats.
- Administer servers through Active Directory alongside managing File & Print services, DNS, and DHCP.
- Supervise the administration and maintenance of network firewalls and switches.
- Conduct regular preventative maintenance, including cleaning and checking workstations, printers, and peripherals, to ensure optimal performance.
- Cultivate positive relationships with colleagues across all departments to foster a collaborative work environment.
- Uphold company safety and security standards, ensuring compliance with best practices.
- Contribute to the design and architecture of network and server solutions when required.
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
- Experience with desktop and server operating systems (e.g., Windows 10, Windows 11, Office 365, macOS).
- Strong understanding of business productivity systems and technology.
- Hands-on experience managing Active Directory.
- Proficiency with Kaseya.
- Exceptional interpersonal skills, enabling rapport-building and insightful inquiry.
- Strong problem-solving capabilities with a solutions-focused mindset.
- Commitment to delivering outstanding customer service and supporting others effectively.
- Capability to work independently with moderate oversight.
- Preferred: Certification in Microsoft Desktop Operating Systems.
- Must possess a valid driver's license and the ability to travel to customer locations when necessary.
- College diploma or university degree in Computer Science or a related field, or a minimum of 5 years of equivalent work experience.
- Preferred: CompTIA Net or CompTIA Security certifications.
