Key Responsibilities
- Create, program, and implement IT solutions utilizing Python to enhance enterprise-level customer experience applications.
- Maintain comprehensive documentation of systems, execute unit tests, conduct peer code reviews, and ensure the upkeep of internally developed applications.
- Assess and perform performance testing on third-party products.
- Establish IT controls to uphold the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of applications and associated data.
- Collaborate in system design, coding, testing, and change management strategies.
- Engage with various databases such as SQL, MySQL, Oracle DB, PostgreSQL, Cassandra, dBase, and MS Access.
- Architect and develop RESTful APIs using Python, focusing on creating robust and scalable system architectures.
- Efficiently process batch files, manage batch scheduling, and oversee data handling tasks.
- Work alongside team members to evaluate diverse libraries and technologies to ensure alignment with business and technical specifications.
- Demonstrated experience in unit testing, release protocols, and change management processes.
- Strong organizational, analytical, and interpersonal abilities.
- Comprehensive understanding of the systems development life cycle.
- Profound expertise in SQL scripting/querying and advanced database management.
- Proficient in Python programming and associated libraries, particularly for REST API development and batch file processing.
- Familiarity with UNIX/Linux shell scripting and PySpark, alongside experience in a Hadoop ecosystem.
- Proven experience working with extensive datasets (millions of records) and conducting data analysis.
- Proficient in desktop applications such as MS Suite and flowcharting tools like Visio.
- A structured approach to evaluating technologies and libraries to fulfill business needs.
- An inherent curiosity for learning and development, with a strong interest in data flow and processes.
- A Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent professional experience.
- 5 years of experience in technical design and coding within the IT sector.
- Exposure to UNIX/Linux shell scripting and advanced SQL techniques.
- A solid background in managing large-scale datasets and utilizing PySpark in a Hadoop context.
