Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with team members and external agencies to troubleshoot and resolve service or incident tickets.
- Develop scripts and workflows that automate administrative tasks, utilizing your proficiency in Python and other scripting languages.
- Prepare comprehensive estimates regarding project timelines and resource requirements.
- Create effective training materials and documentation for end-users to facilitate their understanding of our systems.
- Manage all stages of development and maintenance for assigned applications and scripts, under general supervision.
- Conduct research on system enhancements, providing analysis and design for computer applications.
- Design, code, test, and document applications and scripts, ensuring high-quality outputs.
- Provide production support for applications of varying complexity, swiftly addressing any issues that arise.
- Mentor junior team members where applicable, and lead smaller projects or components of larger initiatives.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Exceptional organizational, planning, and problem-solving abilities.
- A proactive mindset for learning and adapting to new technologies.
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Geography/GIS, or a related field, with the possibility of substituting equivalent experience on a year-for-year basis.
- At least one year of experience in scripting languages, APIs, and modules like JavaScript, HTML, CSS, Pandas, ArcPy, ArcGIS API, PowerShell, and REST APIs.
- A minimum of one year of experience working with Microsoft SQL Enterprise Databases (v2016 ) and/or PostgreSQL databases.
- A minimum of two years of scripting experience with Python.
- Proven history of developing policies and workflows in collaborative environments, along with experience in creating training and documentation for end users.
