Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with team members and client agencies to troubleshoot service or incident tickets.
- Develop scripts and workflows aimed at automating administrative processes using your proficiency in scripting languages such as Python.
- Provide precise estimates regarding the time and resources needed for project execution.
- Create comprehensive training materials and documentation to empower end-users in utilizing our systems effectively.
- Oversee the complete lifecycle of development and maintenance for assigned applications and scripts.
- Conduct research on system enhancements while performing analysis and design for computer applications.
- Design, code, test, and document applications and scripts, ensuring high-quality deliverables.
- Offer production support for both simple and complex applications, resolving issues in a timely manner.
- Mentor junior team members and lead smaller projects or components of larger initiatives when applicable.
- Strong written and verbal communication abilities.
- Excellent organizational, planning, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Proactive attitude towards learning and adapting to new technologies.
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Geography/GIS, or a related discipline; equivalent experience may be considered on a year-for-year basis.
- Minimum of one year of experience with scripting languages, APIs, and related modules such as JavaScript, HTML, CSS, Pandas, ArcPy, ArcGIS API, PowerShell, and REST APIs.
- At least two years of Python scripting experience.
- Proven ability to develop policies and workflows within collaborative environments as well as create user training and documentation.
