Position Summary
We are seeking a Summer Intern to join our Mortgage Company, where you will play a pivotal role in supporting the development of both new and existing business initiatives. Your primary focus will be analyzing multifamily mortgage loans from Freddie Mac, Fannie Mae, and FHA/HUD to facilitate impactful lending decisions.
Key Responsibilities
During your internship, you will have access to a range of career development initiatives, including Lunch and Learn sessions to deepen your understanding of various organizational functions, property tours to experience our projects firsthand, and community engagement opportunities through Service Days.
Compensation And Work Structure
This internship offers a full-time, hybrid working model, requiring office attendance in our New York City location at least three days per week, with the option to work remotely for two days. The internship runs from June 2 to August 8, 2025, with a compensation rate of $22 per hour for a total of 35 hours per week.

- Assist with multifamily commercial real estate loan requests by aiding in the generation of pro forma valuations and identifying suitable loan options aligned with Agency Loan Product guidelines.
- Collaborate with team members to engage with clients and gather essential due diligence documents critical for evaluating potential loans.
- Analyze financial and credit data, conducting sensitivity analysis to identify risks and structuring loan offerings to align with borrower needs.
- Perform research on borrowers, properties, and local neighborhoods to ensure compliance with product and program standards.
- Support the submission of screening packages to Freddie Mac, Fannie Mae, and FHA/HUD, ensuring loan files are complete and meet quality control requirements.
- Maintain and update agency and loan pipelines as necessary.
- Work collaboratively with the team to achieve both quantitative and qualitative goals.
- Manage data within the Closer technology system as required.
- Undertake additional tasks as directed.
- Enrollment in a graduate-level program related to Affordable Housing, Housing Finance, or Real Estate, with 1-2 years of relevant professional experience.
- Exceptional organizational abilities with a keen attention to detail and the capacity to prioritize multiple tasks efficiently.
- Strong teamwork orientation with an adaptable approach to change.
- Proficient in Excel, capable of managing and analyzing substantial datasets using established best practices.
