Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the evaluation of multifamily commercial real estate loan requests by generating pro forma valuations and determining suitable loan options.
- Collaborate with colleagues to gather essential due diligence documents from clients, ensuring a thorough analysis of property economics.
- Conduct financial and credit data analysis, including sensitivity modeling, to identify risks and structure loan offerings that align with borrower needs.
- Perform research on borrowers, properties, and neighborhoods to ensure compliance with product and program requirements.
- Aid in the submission of screening packages to Freddie Mac, Fannie Mae, and FHA/HUD, ensuring completeness and adherence to quality control standards.
- Maintain updates on agency and loan pipelines, as well as manage information within the Closer technology system.
- Work collaboratively with the team to meet quantitative and qualitative goals.
- Undertake additional tasks as assigned.
- Currently enrolled in or recently graduated from a graduate-level program related to Affordable Housing, Housing Finance, or Real Estate.
- Proven organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively; detail-oriented approach.
- Strong collaborative team player who is adaptable to change.
- Proficient in Excel, capable of managing and analyzing extensive datasets using best practices.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of professional experience in Affordable Housing, Housing Finance, or Real Estate is preferred.
- Enrollment in a related graduate-level program demonstrating relevant academic background.

- This is a full-time internship, operating under a hybrid model of 3 days in the office and 2 days remote, providing flexibility in your working arrangement.
- Competitive hourly pay of $22 for a 35-hour work week.
