Key Responsibilities
- Evaluate and analyze intricate trust and estate planning challenges to devise effective solutions for clients.
- Draft complex estate and gift tax planning structures, including various corporate transactions and specialized trusts such as ILITs, SLATS, and charitable lead annuity trusts.
- Oversee the preparation and filing of tax forms, ensuring compliance and precision, including Federal Form 706 and Form 709.
- Provide comprehensive guidance on trust and estate planning documents, trustee obligations, beneficiary rights, and the tax implications of distributions.
- Manage individual and family trusts, directing investments, banking operations, and ensuring adherence to tax regulations.
- Prepare trust and fiduciary accountings for Attorney-Trustees, including managing financial statements and delivering accountings to beneficiaries.
- Review and finalize foundational estate plans prior to client submission.
- Draft extensive estate and gift tax planning frameworks, as well as corporate transactions, including preferred partnership freezes and tax-free reorganizations.
- Prepare and file Federal Form 706 for Estate and Generation-Skipping Taxes, collaborating with clients and service providers to gather necessary documentation.
- Analyze trust and estate planning documents, advising clients on the powers and duties of trustees, dispositive provisions, beneficiary rights, and tax treatment of distributions.
- Proven expertise in Estate Planning, Asset Protection, and Trust Administration.
- Competence in drafting software such as WealthDocs and client management software like Clio.
- Ability to swiftly comprehend new legal concepts in a dynamic landscape.
- Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish is essential.
- Active membership with The Florida Bar is required.
- Demonstrated experience in Estate Planning, Asset Protection, and Trust Administration.
