We are seeking an accomplished and driven Senior Commercial Real Estate Associate Attorney to become an integral part of our esteemed team. The successful candidate will possess extensive experience in navigating intricate commercial real estate transactions, with a particular emphasis on large loan financing and a robust proficiency in title and survey analysis. As a Senior Associate, you will be pivotal within our Real Estate Practice Group, delivering expert legal guidance to prestigious clients on complex transactions.

This role offers the flexibility of up to 80% remote work, facilitating a harmonious balance between your professional and personal endeavors.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee a diverse range of commercial real estate transactions, focusing primarily on large loan financing, including the drafting and negotiation of loan documents, purchase and sale agreements, and related contracts.
  • Conduct comprehensive title examinations and survey analyses to identify potential risks in real estate properties, providing strategic counsel based on your assessments.
  • Execute extensive due diligence on real estate properties to ensure adherence to legal standards while identifying potential liabilities.
  • Collaborate with clients to fully understand their objectives, offering tailored and strategic legal advice to facilitate their commercial real estate pursuits.
  • Manage the entire life cycle of real estate transactions, from initial negotiations through to closing, ensuring all deadlines and requirements are met.
  • Stay informed on legal regulations and industry trends in commercial real estate financing and conduct legal research to devise innovative solutions to intricate challenges.
  • Mentor junior associates and support staff, fostering professional development and nurturing a collaborative, high-performance team culture.
  • Partner with other practice groups, including finance, tax, and corporate, to deliver comprehensive legal services to clients with varied needs.
  • Engage in business development initiatives, such as client presentations and networking events, to expand the client base and cultivate long-term relationships.

Required Skills

  • Expertise in commercial real estate law, particularly in large loan financing.
  • Strong title and survey analysis capabilities.
  • Exceptional negotiation, drafting, and communication skills.
  • Detail-oriented with strong analytical skills.
  • Proven leadership experience with the ability to mentor junior associates.
  • Client-focused with a talent for building and maintaining enduring relationships.

Qualifications

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.
  • Active admission to the state bar in good standing.
  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in commercial real estate law, specializing in large loan financing and title/survey work.
  • Demonstrated success in managing complex transactions and developing creative solutions to legal challenges.
  • Solid understanding of real estate financing, including debt and equity structures.
