Key Responsibilities

  • Manage a diverse range of commercial real estate transactions, focusing on large loan financing.
  • Draft and negotiate essential documents, including loan agreements and purchase and sale contracts.
  • Conduct thorough title reviews and survey assessments to identify potential risks, providing strategic advice to clients based on your analyses.
  • Perform comprehensive due diligence to ensure adherence to legal standards, recognizing risks associated with real estate properties and assets.
  • Collaborate closely with clients to comprehend their objectives and deliver business-oriented legal counsel that aligns with their commercial real estate endeavors.
  • Oversee transactions from inception to completion, ensuring all deadlines and requirements are efficiently met.
  • Remain informed about the latest trends and regulations in commercial real estate law, offering innovative solutions to legal challenges.
  • Mentor junior associates, promoting professional growth and fostering a cooperative team environment.
  • Partner with colleagues across other practice areas, such as finance and tax, to provide comprehensive legal services to our clients.
  • Participate in business development initiatives to cultivate the firm's client base, including attending industry conferences and networking events.

Required Skills

  • Strong command of real estate financing, encompassing debt and equity structures.
  • Exceptional negotiation, drafting, and communication skills.

Qualifications

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Admission to the state bar and in good standing.
  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in commercial real estate, specifically in large loan financing and title/survey matters.
  • Established history of managing intricate real estate transactions and successfully addressing legal challenges.
