Key Responsibilities
- Financial Strategy & Leadership: Formulate and execute comprehensive financial strategies, provide strategic insights to the CEO and executive team, and offer thought leadership on significant organizational decisions, including potential mergers, acquisitions, and partnerships.
- Financial Planning & Analysis: Direct budgeting, forecasting, and financial modeling initiatives, assess financial performance, drive process improvements, and spearhead cost optimization projects, including benefits management and retirement planning.
- Financial Reporting & Compliance: Compile and present detailed financial reports, ensure accuracy in reporting, and uphold compliance with GAAP and other relevant regulations.
- Treasury Management: Oversee treasury operations, manage cash flow and investments, and implement initiatives that enhance profitability and shareholder returns.
- Risk Management: Evaluate and manage financial risk, ensuring robust controls and adherence to compliance standards.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Cultivate collaborative relationships both internally and externally, including interactions with financial institutions, auditors, and other service providers, while maintaining a strong partnership with the Board of Directors.
- Continuous Improvement: Identify and champion process enhancements and cost-reduction strategies.
- Facilities and Real Estate Oversight: Supervise financial reporting related to facilities and manage general office expenditures, including lease negotiations.
- Team Development and Influence: Lead, mentor, and nurture a high-performing finance team, fostering professional growth and development.
- Master's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field (CPA preferred).
- 15 years of progressive financial leadership experience, with a minimum of 10 years in a senior financial position, ideally in the healthcare or laboratory sectors.
- Demonstrated expertise in financial planning, analysis, and strategic decision-making.
- Exceptional analytical capabilities and proficiency in financial modeling and reporting tools.
- Strong communication and leadership skills.
- In-depth knowledge of cost accounting and public sector contracting.
- Over 10 years of experience leading technical professionals, including recruiting, hiring, training, and mentoring.
- Comprehensive understanding of operations, financial regulations, and healthcare compliance.
- Experience in multi-site organizations is advantageous.
- Background in clinical and/or forensic laboratory services or diagnostics is preferred.
