Job Overview
As a Construction Project Manager, your expertise will drive the successful construction of new retail locations and renovations. Key Responsibilities
- Direct and manage all construction projects, ensuring adherence to government regulations, approved plans, and internal standards within established timelines and budgets.
- Oversee site inspections and maintenance, addressing repair needs as they arise.
- Facilitate the acquisition, review, and approval of necessary permits and utility connections.
- Identify, qualify, and recommend contractors for future undertakings, while nurturing existing contractor relationships to enhance productivity.
- Review and sanction construction payments and change orders, ensuring fiscal accuracy and compliance.
- Provide expertise on design, permitting, and construction-related matters.
- Communicate effectively with stakeholders including consultants, vendors, contractors, and government bodies to achieve project milestones.
- Propose innovative ideas and cost-saving opportunities to optimize facilities.
- Assist in preparing and updating capital expenditure budgets and project timelines.
- Monitor and verify completion of Landlord/Developer Work and initiate procurement processes for materials and equipment, coordinating delivery schedules.
- Strong background in construction project management.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office and relevant application tools.
- Capability to collaborate with both internal teams and external partners.
- Comprehensive understanding of governmental codes and compliance requirements.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Bachelor's Degree in Construction, Architecture, Civil Engineering, or a related discipline.
- At least 5 years of progressive experience in Construction Project Management, Architecture, Civil Engineering, and retail operations.
- A valid driver's license with a satisfactory driving record.
