We are currently seeking a remote, initially part-time Financial Planning Analyst to support our ambitious marketing agency. In this integral role, you will be responsible for developing budgets and financial forecasts, analyzing financial performance, and advising on key financial strategies. You will collaborate closely with our Co-CEO and provide valuable insights on financial planning and operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
- Formulate annual budget processes and propose financial budgets in partnership with our fractional CFO.
- Spearhead recurring financial review sessions and forecasting initiatives, implementing effective reporting and tracking systems.
- Generate forecasts and assess trends in sales and finance to inform strategic decisions.
- Execute both quantitative and qualitative analyses of operational metrics to evaluate progress and refine future plans.
- Identify revenue and expense trends, working collaboratively with our Controller and other financial team members to enhance overall performance.
- Examine financial statements, prepare monthly variance reports, and offer actionable recommendations for significant discrepancies.
- Establish Key Performance Indicators and financial models to elucidate business dynamics and bolster informed decision-making.
- Partner with our Controller in evaluating the monthly accounting close process and analyzing results through trend analysis.
- Conduct ROI assessments for client projects.
- Undertake additional responsibilities as assigned by management.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in Financial Planning and Analysis within a dynamic entrepreneurial setting.
- Exposure to a marketing agency environment is advantageous.
- Proven ability to work autonomously and demonstrate initiative.
- Excellent communication skills, particularly via email and Slack.
- Proficiency in English (native or non-native).
- Strong organizational capabilities and adeptness with Google Drive.
- Reliable Internet connectivity is essential.
- Self-directed, detail-oriented, and meticulous approach to work required.
- Experience in remote work environments is preferred.
