Job Overview

As a vital member of our corporate Legal Department, the Legal Administrative Assistant will deliver essential support to our in-house legal team. This pivotal position involves managing various administrative responsibilities associated with transactional matters, including contract administration and document management. The ideal candidate will exhibit keen attention to detail, exemplary organizational skills, and a solid understanding of the functions typical within a corporate legal environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in the drafting, reviewing, and revision of legal correspondence, corporate contracts, agreements, and other transactional documents.
  • Maintain and organize both electronic and physical files pertinent to legal matters, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
  • Schedule and coordinate meetings, prepare agendas, and handle communications related to legal transactions.
  • Support the legal team throughout different stages of corporate transactions, including due diligence and compliance documentation.
  • Keep accurate records of all transactional activities and assist in the preparation of internal reports, expense reports, and invoices.
  • Ensure adherence to corporate policies and legal requirements across all documentation.

Required Skills

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Word and Outlook, with foundational knowledge of Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Familiarity with corporate legal terminology, transactional procedures, and compliance standards.
  • Outstanding organizational and time management capabilities with a proven track record of managing multiple priorities.
  • Excellent writing and verbal communication skills with a strong emphasis on attention to detail.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively, demonstrating professionalism and discretion in handling sensitive information.

Qualifications

  • Associate's degree in Paralegal Studies, Legal Administration, Business Administration, or a related field is required; a Bachelor's degree is preferred.
  • A Commissioned California Notary Public in good standing is strongly favored.
  • A minimum of 3-5 years of experience as a legal administrative assistant in a transactional law context or a corporate legal department is essential.
  • Experience in corporate transactional matters and contract management is preferred.

Compensation And Benefits

  • Competitive pay range of \(38/hr - \)43/hr (dependent on experience).
  • Work hours: Monday to Friday, from 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM, with a hybrid schedule (Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday in-office; Monday and Friday remote).
