Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Commercial Lines Underwriter to manage and enhance an assigned portfolio of business. This pivotal role involves evaluating risk, establishing pricing and terms, and nurturing robust relationships with agents and brokers. You will also provide mentorship and guidance to junior underwriters, enhancing their professional development.

Key Responsibilities

• Underwrite new and renewal business by thoroughly assessing applications and making informed risk decisions in accordance with company policies.
• Collaborate effectively with agents and brokers to cultivate strong relationships while ensuring a healthy loss ratio.
• Contribute to the development of products and pricing strategies, actively participating in customer development and relationship-building efforts within your designated territory.
• Engage in continuous professional education and assist in the training and mentoring of less experienced team members.
