Key Responsibilities
In this role, you will be responsible for:
- Conducting client intake interviews, both remotely and in-person
- Preparing and filing legal documents, including affidavits, pleadings, and motions
- Maintaining the firm’s case management system to ensure optimal workflow
- Providing outstanding client service and fostering strong professional relationships
- Collaborating with attorneys and other professionals on case details
- Assisting with trial preparation and legal document drafting
- Investigating facts and relevant laws, as well as searching public records
- Coordinating law office activities, including the delivery of subpoenas
- Analyzing legal statutes, decisions, and articles
- Managing and organizing documents and data
- Providing consistent updates to clients and following up on outstanding documents or services
- Staying informed about changes in legal frameworks to keep the team updated
The ideal candidate should demonstrate:
- Proven ability in civil litigation
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong research and investigative capabilities
- Proficiency in MS Office and legal research tools
- Exceptional organizational skills and adaptability
- Ability to prioritize tasks and meet strict deadlines
Candidates must possess:
- An ABA-approved paralegal certification, an associate degree in legal services or finance, or 2 years of relevant paralegal experience
- Preferred experience in foreclosure, property law, eviction defense, and mortgage financing
- Commitment to delivering exceptional customer service
- Familiarity with case and document management software
- Proficiency in drafting legal documents and pleadings
