Key Responsibilities
- Lead and work collaboratively with a team to prepare, review, and finalize site plans and construction documents.
- Employ cutting-edge technology and industry software to assess project survey data.
- Evaluate existing site conditions and development factors, including legal descriptions, ALTA surveys, easement documents, and condominium documentation.
- Organize, plan, and guide survey crews, technicians, and office personnel.
- Supervise large-scale ALTA surveys related to solar or wind power initiatives.
- Offer construction-related services while mentoring junior team members in tasks such as permit applications, cut sheets, quantity estimates, and transmittals.
- Utilize AutoCAD Civil 3D and similar engineering software to ensure timely and compliant project completion within budgetary constraints.
- Participate in paid training sessions, development events, industry conferences, and networking opportunities.
- Assist in the training of new hires, facilitate career planning, and support ongoing professional development.
- Encourage and recognize your team’s efforts through spot bonuses and peer recognition initiatives.
- Professional Survey License (PLS, PSM)
- A minimum of 8 years of relevant experience in the survey industry
- Proven ability to coach, mentor, and develop a growing team
- Previous experience with Trimble Business Center and AutoCAD Civil 3D is preferred
- Advanced knowledge of Boundary Surveys, ALTA Surveys, Construction Staking, Leveling, Traversing, GPS, Data Collections, Legal Descriptions, Plan Interpretations, and Real Estate Documents
