Key Responsibilities
- Oversee and guide Medical Directors across multiple healthcare centers, ensuring active engagement and oversight.
- Propel clinical operations to meet or exceed market revenue targets.
- Mentor and coach Medical Directors to achieve outstanding clinical outcomes.
- Facilitate the training and development of Clinical Directors, Nurse Practitioners, and Medical Directors through comprehensive training and performance management.
- Cultivate a cooperative center-level culture aligned with our organizational values and service standards.
- Assist in onboarding and training new practitioners in assigned centers.
- Participate in the recruitment and selection process for primary care physicians and specialist candidates.
- Collaborate with clinical and talent acquisition teams to enhance the overall clinical talent lifecycle.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with payers, specialists, community partners, and hospitals.
- Proactively address workplace concerns, supporting a positive market culture.
- Review and approve center-level referrals while assisting with utilization authorizations.
- Support initiatives aimed at improving quality and performance within the market.
- Conduct monthly scorecard reviews and quarterly clinical metric evaluations in collaboration with clinical leadership.
- Provide training and support across various entities as necessary.
- Utilize local market expertise to drive forward clinical initiatives.
- Implement cost-saving strategies while ensuring excellent clinical outcomes for patients.
- Strong clinical acumen and understanding of managed care delivery systems.
- Knowledge of clinical outcomes and quality improvement methodologies.
- Exceptional analytical skills coupled with the ability to foster relationships.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
- Comfort with electronic medical records (EMR) systems.
- Willingness to travel locally, regionally, and nationally, potentially up to 30% of the time.
- Proficient in spoken and written English.
- MD or DO in Internal Medicine, Family Medicine, Geriatrics, or a related specialty.
- A minimum of 2 years of clinical experience; 3 years is preferred.
- Previous experience as a Medical Director or in a similar capacity with Medicare or Medicaid populations is highly desirable.
- Board eligibility is required; board certification in the relevant specialty is preferred.
- Must possess a current, active medical license in the state of employment.
