In this role, you will collaborate closely with the Accounting Leadership Team and external vendors, focusing on project-based accounts payable initiatives across the organization. Your work will involve managing key interactions with third-party suppliers, FP&A, and Treasury stakeholders. You will take a comprehensive approach to critical accounts payable functions, including high-volume invoice processing, 1099 payments, and assessing sales use tax implications within our General Ledger accounting system.

Key Responsibilities
- Vendor Management: Lead the vendor enrollment process into our AP ERP systems and manage accounts payable invoices related to energy storage project construction and associated deliverables.
- 1099 and W9 Processing: Handle the processing of 1099s and set up W9s with accuracy and attention to detail.
- Financial Reporting: Oversee AP financial reporting, including accounting journals, ledgers, and vendor payment terms.
- Contract Accounting: Play a key role in project contract accounting, prepare GAAP financial statements, and support financial accounting audits.
- Tax Compliance: Lead the sales and use tax accounting processes within accounts payable, ensuring compliance and accuracy.
- Experience: 5 years of accounts payable experience, with a solid understanding of GAAP principles.
- Specialized Knowledge: Proven experience managing project-based accounts payable systems, particularly in Project Development, EPC, Construction, and Service Contracts.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in QuickBooks, NetSuite, or similar financial accounting software is essential. Strong expertise in MS Excel, including macro/VBA writing, data queries, and pivot tables.
- Vendor Management: Strong background in vendor management related to accounts payable and invoice processing.
- Communication: Excellent communication skills, with the ability to present complex financial concepts clearly to both internal and external stakeholders.
- Industry Experience: Previous experience supporting financial reporting and accounting initiatives within EPC or Construction operations is highly desirable.
