Key Responsibilities
Account Coverage & Sales Growth: Manage an assigned territory of clients, focusing on selling additional products and services, cross-selling, and expanding relationships to promote business growth.
Achieve Sales Targets: You'll be assigned a 12-month quota, with progress monitored through regular check-ins and performance reviews.
Whitespace Selling: Focus on selling higher-value products (typically over $15k), promoting more complex offerings, and fostering stronger client relationships.
Utilize Sales Tools: Leverage tools like Salesforce and CentralSquare Value Selling (CSVS) to track opportunities, manage communications, and document progress throughout the sales cycle.
Customer Engagement: Use your excellent communication skills to engage clients through calls, emails, and meetings, ensuring a smooth sales process and promoting additional product offerings.
Present & Demonstrate: Schedule and coordinate product demos, both virtual and on-site, to showcase relevant solutions and act as the main point of contact for your territory.
Client Education: Develop a deep understanding of our product offerings, becoming a trusted advisor to your clients while learning about the public safety industry.
Internal Collaboration: Work closely with internal teams to represent client needs, set expectations during demos, and ensure smooth communication with all stakeholders involved in the sales process.
Contract & Documentation Management: Negotiate contracts, sales orders, and change orders, ensuring all documentation is completed in accordance with internal processes.
Proposal & RFP Engagement: When an RFP arises, collaborate with the proposals team to gather necessary materials and meet deadlines.
Customer Service: Provide excellent customer service by addressing client needs and collaborating with support teams to resolve any escalated issues.
Territory Management: Stay informed about your territory, including competitor products, customer usage trends, and market changes.
Travel: Travel up to 25% as required for on-site meetings, presentations, and training sessions.
Home Office Setup: Maintain a professional home office environment with reliable internet connectivity to facilitate meetings and client interactions.
Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree, ideally in Business Administration or a related field.
3-5 years of client-facing sales experience, preferably in software sales or similar fields.
Ability to learn quickly and adapt in a fast-paced environment.
Proficiency in Salesforce and Microsoft Office Suite.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a customer-focused approach to sales.
