Key Responsibilities
- Spearhead strategic negotiations for transportation services across North America.
- Cultivate and maintain vital supplier relationships, ensuring compliance with contractual obligations and performance standards.
- Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams to enhance shipment efficiency and service excellence.
- Monitor and evaluate logistics providers proactively, addressing any performance challenges promptly.
- Ensure accurate maintenance of transportation cost data in our enterprise systems.
- Formulate and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to assess supplier performance.
- Identify and execute cost-saving initiatives and process enhancements.
- Collaborate closely with the Accounts Payable team on transportation-related financial matters.
- A Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Valid work authorization in the USA.
- Native or bilingual proficiency in English, both verbal and written.
- Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel, including proficiency with pivot tables and VLOOKUPs.
- Strong analytical capabilities and problem-solving aptitude.
- A minimum of 3 years of experience in logistics procurement or supplier management is highly preferred.
- Familiarity with SAP, Oracle Transportation Management System (TMS), and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Advanced Excel skills, including macros and VBA.
- Intermediate proficiency in Spanish is considered a plus.
- Comprehensive knowledge of asset-based trucking operations and brokerage systems.
- Possession of APICS, CPSM, or a related supply chain certification is advantageous.
