Key Responsibilities
- Foster and sustain robust relationships with insured clients’ internal claims departments and third-party administrators.
- Oversee and direct the claims process and settlements, ensuring efficient and effective resolutions.
- Conduct comprehensive claim reviews to spot trends, enhance operations, and ensure compliance.
- Assess the claims supervision capabilities of prospective insured clients to mitigate risks.
- Develop accurate case evaluations for loss of control (LOC) purposes.
- Ensure the adequacy of reserves for excess losses to protect the company’s financial interests.
- Emphasize risk management and implement mitigation strategies to avert future claims.
- Proven experience managing complex, litigated transportation claims or relevant commercial liability claims, particularly in commercial auto.
- Experience collaborating with third-party administrators or internal claims departments of insureds.
- Strong litigation, negotiation, problem-solving, and mediation abilities.
- Exceptional interpersonal communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Knowledge of injury assessment processes.
- Willingness to travel for mediations, client visits, and seminars.
- Relevant experience in claims management, specifically in the transportation or commercial auto sectors.
- A Bachelor’s degree in a related field is preferred but not mandatory.
