We are looking for a passionate and experienced leader to join our team as the Deputy Regional Program Director. This pivotal role will oversee medical services at U.S. Customs and Border Protection sites along the southwest border, ensuring that high-quality care is delivered to individuals in custody. Please note, this position is contingent upon contract award.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide programmatic leadership as the authority for the medical services contract at specified medical units, including Office of Field Operations (OFO) ports of entry and U.S. Border Patrol (USBP) stations.
- Oversee personnel by tracking their progress and ensuring appropriate vetting and orientation.
- Manage staffing and scheduling to guarantee adequate coverage and oversee daily operations within the medical units.
- Develop and manage the logistics and procurement strategy for assigned medical units.
- Ensure quality and safety by maintaining risk management programs, medical event reporting, and quality assurance/performance improvement plans.
- Drive continuous improvement by conducting analyses to identify opportunities for performance enhancement and developing best practices.
- Meet reporting requirements by ensuring timely and accurate submissions.
- Participate in the recruitment and selection processes for contract employees.
- Coordinate training programs for medical staff and maintain confidentiality in adherence to HIPAA and Privacy Act regulations.
- Stay informed about relevant DHS and CBP policies, procedures, directives, and memoranda.
- Strong analytical, planning, and relationship-building skills.
- Experience in logistical planning and operational support.
- Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills.
- Proven ability to manage diverse teams in high-pressure environments.
- Effective leadership, negotiation, and communication skills (both oral and written).
- Familiarity with electronic medical documentation.
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, business, finance, or a related field.
- Minimum of two years of management experience in healthcare services.
- U.S. citizenship or Permanent Resident Card.
- Capability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government security clearance (current clearance preferred).
- Proficiency in English (Spanish fluency is a plus).

- Competitive salary range of \(75,000 - \)150,000 annually, commensurate with experience.
