Key Responsibilities

• Formulate and execute a comprehensive safety and security strategy.
• Identify potential risks and create effective training programs.
• Facilitate safety and security training sessions for all staff members.
• Oversee the management of safety incidents and maintain clear communication with all parties involved.
• Administer the Workers’ Compensation program.
• Supervise security staff and resource allocation.
• Provide emergency medical assistance and ensure appropriate injury responses.
• Establish strong relationships with local law enforcement and emergency response teams.
• Conduct regular security assessments and implement necessary improvements.
• Direct incident response and crisis management initiatives.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to foster a culture of safety.
• Stay informed on industry advancements and best safety practices.
  
  

Required Skills

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in safety and security.
• 10 years of relevant professional experience in safety and security management.
• A minimum of 4 years of leadership experience.
• Proven track record in a regulated industry.
• Exceptional communication, presentation, and training abilities.
• Strong organizational skills and adept record-keeping.
• Capability to cultivate trust and build robust professional relationships.
  
  

Qualifications

• Experience in the cannabis or agricultural sector is advantageous.
• Certifications in emergency medical services or firefighting are desirable.
• Safety and security certifications (CSP, CPP) are a plus.
