Key Responsibilities

• Spearhead and mentor multiple project teams, guiding them to fulfill project objectives and align with strategic goals.
• Strategically collaborate with project managers and stakeholders to outline project scope, budget, schedule, and resource allocation.
• Establish and manage project expectations, delegating tasks effectively to meet deadlines and budgetary constraints.
• Oversee project outcomes, facilitating team meetings to address progress and resolve any obstacles.
• Regularly communicate project status, including milestones, dependencies, risks, and issues to leadership and stakeholders.
• Cultivate strong client relationships by understanding their needs and representing them effectively in public forums.
• Ensure adherence to quality control processes and actively participate in resolving project-related issues.
• Manage contract oversight, including change orders and additional services as needed.
• Oversee financial aspects of projects, including billing, budgeting, and accounts receivable collections.
• Develop and train project teams, implementing best practices and innovative methodologies.
• Provide coaching and mentorship to project managers, facilitating their professional development and conducting performance reviews.

Required Skills

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil, Environmental, or a related Engineering field.
• A Professional Engineer (PE) license is required.
• At least 15 years of experience managing public works projects effectively within timelines and budgetary constraints.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and advanced knowledge of Civil 3D, Bluebeam, and Pipe Networks.
• Exceptional leadership, diplomatic, and motivational skills.
• Proven creative and analytical problem-solving abilities.
• Comprehensive understanding of project and program management principles.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Valid driver’s license and automobile insurance.
  
  

Qualifications

• A degree in Civil Engineering or a relevant field is mandatory.
• Possession of a Professional Engineer (PE) license.
