Key Responsibilities
- Quality Assurance: Perform continuous audits of client accounts to guarantee accurate coding, adherence to regulations, and optimal reimbursement.
- Training & Development: Conduct interactive remote training sessions for staff on client-specific coding and billing protocols. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of recent coding guidelines and regulations.
- Performance Oversight: Provide feedback on quality issues and identify opportunities for improvement to relevant managers and team leaders.
- Client Support: Address client quality assurance requests, collaborate with clients on coding and documentation standards, and inform them of updates regarding policies and procedures.
- Minimum of two (2) years of coding experience.
- Required experience in multi-specialty coding (Internal Medicine or other specialties).
- Outpatient/Clinic billing experience is essential.
- Familiarity with MIPS reporting and medical billing systems.
- Comprehensive understanding of coding methodologies, including state and federal billing standards.
- Proficiency in multi-specialty CPT-4, ICD-10-CM, and HCPCS coding principles and guidelines.
- Ability to create and deliver effective training programs.
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to interact with physicians and support staff.
- Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and system report writers.
- Capability to utilize personal transportation as needed.
- High School diploma or GED is required; a college degree is preferred.
