We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Supply Chain Planner to become an integral part of our dynamic team at a leading furniture retailer renowned for its strong presence across South Florida and beyond. This role offers a unique opportunity to influence supply chain operations directly, ensuring optimal inventory levels and enhancing customer satisfaction through effective stock management.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop weekly demand forecasts based on the analysis of 10 weeks of delivered business, subject to Manager of Supply Chain approval.
- Strategically plan for seasonal demand fluctuations and factory shutdowns during holiday periods.
- Ensure high in-stock levels by managing stockouts from both international and domestic warehouses.
- Confirm vendor order receipts, verifying accuracy and timeliness of deliveries.
- Generate purchase orders to sustain target stock and inventory levels for active product lines.
- Recommend enhancements to supply chain processes, focusing on lead times, shipping precision, and inventory management.
- Collaborate effectively with the Manager and Logistics Manager to facilitate cost-efficient domestic and international shipments.
- Proactively address challenges presented by various teams including Visual Display, Sales, Customer Service, and Operations.
- Compile and maintain reports for the Supply Chain Manager and Buyer, encompassing inventory audits and projections.
- Manage sample requests related to new products or quality concerns.
- Submit notes for floor plan adjustments to oversee product sell-off and transitions.
- Proven verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong analytical capabilities with forecasting expertise.
- Effective negotiation skills and a demonstrated ability to establish rapport.
- Exceptional problem-solving abilities and meticulous attention to detail.
- Proven track record of meeting performance goals and KPIs.
- Strong decision-making proficiency and sound judgment.
- Excellent relationship management skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, Outlook).
- Familiarity with AS400, EDI, and Blue Ridge software.
- Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain, Merchandising, or Logistics is preferred.
- A minimum of 1 year of experience in a related field.
- A valid Florida Driver’s License is required.
