Key Responsibilities
- Design and oversee therapeutic recreation programs tailored to the individual needs, abilities, and interests of participants.
- Facilitate a variety of recreational activities, including small group and one-on-one sessions, to foster engagement and positive experiences.
- Collaborate with the Clinical Services Manager to coordinate the weekly therapeutic programming schedule and ensure effective communication with the Program Manager.
- Procure necessary supplies for activities, prepare spaces, and implement safety measures to maintain a secure environment.
- Conduct recreational assessments and document individualized goals and progress notes for each participant within the required timeframe.
- Uphold the highest standards of integrity while adhering to established policies, procedures, and regulatory guidelines.
- Active CTRS credential from NCTRC is mandatory.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Strong written and verbal communication abilities.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Demonstrated leadership capabilities and cultural competence.
- Bachelor's degree in Therapeutic Recreation, ABA, or a related field. Candidates with a degree in an unrelated field must have at least two years of relevant experience.
- A minimum of two years of experience in leading recreational groups or activities.
- Preferred: At least one year of experience working with individuals who meet the program's admission criteria.
- Possession of a valid, non-probationary state driver's license and the appropriate vehicle insurance.
- Ability to pass a background check, drug screening, and physical assessment.
