Responsibilities
- Identify and prospect potential freight forwarding companies and BCO's to expand the company's client base.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients and prospects through regular communication and visits.
- Negotiate rates and contractual terms with clients and prospects to ensure competitive pricing and favorable terms.
- Collaborate with clients, operations teams, and drayage providers to create efficient and cost-effective transportation solutions.
- Monitor and evaluate performance metrics
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends, market conditions, and competitor activities to identify opportunities and potential risks.
- Prepare and deliver presentations to clients, showcasing the company's drayage capabilities and solutions.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in business development or sales w
- Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets and building successful business relationships.
- Strong negotiation and communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
- Proficient in using CRM software and other sales tools.
- Ability to travel, as required, to meet with clients.
