Get Set Go Health & Wellness Company, LLC provides comprehensive mental health services to individuals and groups. Our dedicated team includes licensed therapists, certified peer specialists, community support associates, and targeted case managers, all working to support individuals on their path to recovery.
Position Overview
We are seeking a Community Support Specialist to work directly with adult men in recovery, providing behavioral health support, life skills training, and access to community resources. This role is ideal for someone passionate about mental health advocacy, empowerment, and skill-building.
Key Responsibilities
✅ Provide Direct Support: Work one-on-one with individuals who have behavioral health or co-occurring disorders.
✅ Behavioral Intervention: Offer skills training, supervision, and emotional regulation techniques.
✅ Life Skills Development: Assist individuals in enhancing interpersonal skills and utilizing community resources.
✅ Therapeutic Program Planning: Coordinate and implement programs to support client recovery.
✅ Collaborate in Treatment Planning: Participate in Treatment Team meetings to develop Person-Centered Plans.
✅ Community Engagement: Work with diverse populations and support clients in accessing necessary services.
✅ Facilitate Groups: Promote empowerment, advocacy, and essential life skills.
✅ Crisis Management: Offer de-escalation techniques and stress management support.
Required Qualifications
✔ Age & Education: Must be 18 years or older with a High School Diploma or GED.
✔ Experience: Minimum 1 year of experience working with individuals receiving mental health or co-occurring disorder services.
✔ Training: Must complete a department-approved training program (908 KAR 2:250) within six months of hiring.
✔ Leadership & Advocacy: Demonstrated experience in behavioral health leadership or advocacy.
✔ Skills: Strong ability to work independently and in a team, handle high-pressure situations, and meet deadlines.
✔ Crisis Intervention: Proficiency in conflict resolution and stress management.
✔ Background Check: Must pass a criminal history background check.
