Job Summary
We are seeking a reliable, dedicated, and detail-oriented Turnover and Housekeeping Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and orderliness as well as ensuring every vacation rental turnover is ready for the next guests. This role requires a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently and as part of a team. As a Housekeeper, you will play the most important role in ensuring that our wonderful guests enjoy a clean and welcoming environment as their first impression of Maine.
Part-time or full-time positions are available starting as early as April 1st, 2025. Both seasonal and year-round positions are potentially available depending on the job applicant.
Primary Duties
- Thoroughly turn over vacation rental homes from guest to guest including cleaning, linens, set up, and guest requests.
- Perform cleaning duties to maintain the cleanliness and tidiness of properties, including but not limited to vacuuming, dusting, mopping, and sanitizing surfaces.
- Complete necessary tasks for successful guest turnovers such as restocking consumables and laundry turnover.
- Utilize a cleaning checklist via a cleaning turnover app to track cleaning progress.
- Ensure all rooms and common areas are prepared and set up according to company standards.
- Complete walkaround of property grounds and check for trash, make sure items are in the correct locations, and handle any minor landscaping issues.
- Report on inventory and stocking levels during turnovers.
- Report any maintenance issues that are noticed during turnovers, if possible, address issues during turnovers.
Additional Duties
- Assist with end of season shutdowns and spring clean-up season launches.
- Handle minor maintenance issues such as painting and troubleshooting.
- Manage and organize incoming and outgoing inventory and supplies that are needed during turnover.
- Dedicate work time during the offseason to property upkeep and repair projects.
- Minor lawn care and shoveling walkway access to the properties.
- Other property-related work as needed to meet hourly expectations.
Experience
- Track record of being highly reliable and dependable.
- Previous experience in housekeeping or cleaning roles is preferred but not required; we are willing to train the right candidate(s).
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions effectively.
- Excellent time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks efficiently.
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment.
- Good communication skills and a friendly demeanor when interacting with others.
Requirements
- Availability for housekeeping turnovers between 10am and 4pm.
- Ability to work in and around the Bucksport, Orland, Dedham, and Ellsworth areas.
- Ability to work independently with little supervision while maintaining a high level of performance and to work as part of a team.
- Ability to lift up to 50lbs, carry 25lbs and routinely move 10lbs.
- Valid driver's license and/or reliable transportation.
- Basic technical proficiency such as using cell phone applications and web pages to report issues, track inventory and time.

- This is an hourly role paid weekly, with both full and part-time positions available depending on time of year and applicants interests.
