WHY CROSS COUNTRY EDUCATION?
POSITION DETAILS:
- Role: Special Education Paraprofessional
- Location: Hollister, CA 95023
- Age/Grades: PreK-8th
- Caseload: 1:1 or several students
- Hours: Monday-Friday, 6-7 hours daily with 30-minute unpaid break
- Duration: January through June 13th, 2025 (flexible for short-term coverage if needed)
- Compensation: based on experience
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: Behavioral Support
- Provide 1:1 or small group assistance to a student with behavioral challenges in a variety of educational settings.
- Implement individualized behavior intervention plans (BIPs) as designed by the special education team.
- Use positive reinforcement strategies to encourage appropriate behavior and de-escalation techniques during challenging situations.
- Education: Associate's Degree OR passage of ParaPro Assessment
- Experience:
- MUST have experience with students with behavioral needs
- Preference to Autism experience
- Preference to candidates with CPI training
