What are the responsibilities and job description for the Painter & Facilities Team Member (Summer 2025) position at Gettysburg College?
Position Summary
Gettysburg College is currently seeking individuals to work 40 hrs / wk Monday – Friday during the summer in the Building Trades Department. Two Painter positions are available that would assist the Facilities painting staff across campus. Tasks would include painting and small repairs of interior / exterior walls, ceilings, rails, doors, etc. Other obligations could include replacing indoor ceiling tile and assisting the HVAC department with removal and installation of small window air conditioners.
Status : Part-time, Casual (no benefits included)
Pay Rate : $12.00 per hour
Positions are anticipated to start sometime around May 19th, but could be earlier, with a commitment to stay through early to mid-August.
Some weekend and evening work may be required. Standard operating summer hours 6am-2 : 30pm daily.

Qualifications Applicants must be at least 18 years of age or older to be considered. Driver’s license preferred, but not required. A minimum of two years driving experience with a clean record is preferred, but not required.
