What are the responsibilities and job description for the House Manager position at Geva Theater?
House Managers are responsible for overseeing all Front of House activities that involve the public and/or Volunteers at Geva Theatre. House Managers report directly to the Assistant Guest Services Manager. The House Manager interacts directly with Patrons, Volunteers, Café Staff, Box Office Staff, and the Stage Manager(s). They will also interact indirectly with other staff members, media representatives, and various members of the public. As such, House Managers are required to:
- Foster a cheerful and professional environment at all times, for our Patrons, Volunteers, and all other staff members.
- Maintain excellent verbal and written communication skills, with heavy emphasis on e-mail correspondence, Salesforce.com, and especially in-person conversations.
- Carry out all assigned duties in a positive and concise manner.
- Be available to work multiple nights and weekends, with the occasional special event as needed.
- Have a minimum of 3 years experience with similar qualifications and/or duties.
