Job Summary:
A House Manager oversees the daily operations of multiple private estates. This role involves overseeing the maintenance of the property, coordinating with team members, vendors, and ensuring the smooth operation of the estate, all in collaboration with home owners.
Full time position following introductory period.
Key Responsibilities:
· Daily Operations: Oversee the daily operations of the estate, including maintenance and repairs.
· Staff Management: Train, schedule, and supervise housekeepers.
· Fiscal Responsibility: Ensure spend is within budgets.
· Property Maintenance: Conduct regular inspections to ensure the estate is well-maintained and secure.
· Stock Management: source supplies and other needs, order, and track usage/inventory
· Owner Liaison: Interface with the estate owners to understand their needs and expectations.
· Service Coordination: Arrange for services such as laundry, errands, and transportation.
· Subcontractor/Vendor Liaison: Schedule and coordinate and ensure that all subcontractors/vendors perform to expectations and verify work
· Teamwork: coordinate with internal teams of handypersons, maintenance technicians, and leadership to collaborate on projects and estate needs
· Compliance: Ensure equipment, appliances, home systems are in good repair and compliant
· Continuing Education: maintain skillsets and knowledge of relevant systems and keep processes current
· Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
· Proven experience as a House Manager.
· Strong understanding of property management and maintenance.
· Excellent organizational and leadership skills.
· Robust critical thinking and troubleshooting skills.
· Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
· Proficiency in Microsoft Office (with focus on Excel, Teams, Outlook), Asana (and other project management tools), and familiarity with home technology
· Maintain valid driver’s license
· Pet friendly, domestic pets (no pet care duties).
· Local to Monroe County or Canandaigua
Additional Preferred Qualifications
· A degree in facility management, property management, or a related field is a plus.
· Landscape/grounds maintenance familiarity

Work Environment:
Typically work on large residential properties.
May require irregular hours and availability on weekends.
Often involves both indoor and outdoor four-season work.
Ability to lift/carry 30lb.
Ability to stand/walk for multiple hours
Frequent local travel to client sites by car.
