Word Processor β Remote (Local Candidates to Los Angeles Only)
The ideal candidate is someone who considers themselves a team player and is dedicated and passionate about their work. Our Word Processor will be responsible for creating, maintaining, and editing documents as needed for numerous departments of the Firm.
This is a fully remote, full-time position that is benefit-eligible, with the following schedule :
Monday through Wednesday 2 : 00 p.m. to 10 : 30 p.m. EST
Saturday & Sunday 9 : 00 a.m. to 5 : 00 p.m. EST.
Duties and Responsibilities :
Perform word processing duties, including transcription of digital recordings and dictations, revisions and final preparation of letters, memos, patent and trademark documents, litigation documents, tables, collateral marketing documents and forms.
Run redlines, both regular redlines and track changes documents.
Mark headings for table of contents.
Mark citations for table of authorities.
Bookmark PDF documents for filing.
Redact and extract material from PDF documents.
Convert PDF documents to Word, clean and format same.
Prepare responsive discovery documents after they have been converted to Word.
Proofread edited material for grammatical, typographical or spelling errors.
Qualified candidates will have proficiency in Microsoft Word 365, Excel, Kofax Power PDF Advance, document formatting, Workshare Compare conversion.
Large document production. Must be able to manage priorities. Create merged documents, clean and proof documents.
Transcribe tapes, input and revise text.
Excellent verbal, spelling and written communication skills.
Assist with overall corporate branding, outreach, and presentation preparation.
Coordinate, produce, and archive all corporate documents, including responses to Requests for Proposals, client-facing deliverables, press releases, and presentations.
Experience in preparing all sorts of legal documents, pleadings, motions, briefs, etc.
Apply corporate styles, template-based formatting, and editing to ensure consistency and quality in all final products.
Work with subject matter experts to ensure documents are comprised of current research and best practices.
Lead document production process through the life of a project.
Provide general administrative support and other related duties as assigned.
This position requires the ability to work overtime which often cannot be predicted in advance.
