Position Overview: We are looking for an Associate Attorney who is passionate about marital law, family law and criminal defense to join our firm. The ideal candidate will possess a strong legal background, excellent communication skills, and a genuine desire to advocate for clients through challenging legal issues. This position offers a unique opportunity to work on a diverse range of cases and to make a meaningful impact on our clients' lives. This is an on-site position, however there is remote availability when needed.
Key Responsibilities:
Client Representation: Handle a caseload of marital law, family law and criminal defense matters, including drafting pleadings, conducting legal research, and representing clients in court.
Case Management: Manage all phases of case preparation and litigation, from initial client consultations to case resolution.
Legal Research & Writing: Conduct thorough legal research and draft legal documents, including briefs, motions, and memoranda.
Client Interaction: Maintain regular communication with clients, providing updates and legal advice while ensuring their needs and concerns are addressed.
Court Appearances: Represent clients in court proceedings, including hearings, trials, and other legal proceedings.
Team Collaboration: Work closely with our senior attorney and support staff to strategize case approaches and share expertise.
Qualifications:
Education: Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.
Bar Admission: Licensed to practice law in Florida and in good standing.
Experience: Minimum of 1-3 years of experience in marital law, family law and/or criminal defense. Candidates with significant trial experience or specialized certifications in these areas are preferred.
Skills: Exceptional analytical and research skills, strong oral and written communication abilities, and a keen attention to detail. Strong interpersonal skills to build rapport with prospective and existing clients.
Personal Attributes: Demonstrated ability to work independently and collaboratively, empathy for clients, and a commitment to ethical legal practices.
