About The Role
GFF is seeking an Accounting Specialist to join our growing team! Located in vibrant Victory Plaza, our Dallas-based Operations Studio works with all three GFF locations to support a staff of 120. Primary job duties for this position involve leading studio project accounting, including billing, maintaining and reconciling consultant payables, overseeing accounts payable, assist with business insurance functions, and perform a variety of routine accounting functions necessary for the day-to-day maintenance of an accurate general ledger .
What You"ll Do
- Ensure compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
- Oversee and manage the accuracy and productivity of day-to-day financial activities including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and cash disbursements.
- Utilize Unanet to improve financial reporting efficiency and accuracy.
- Provide leadership and mentorship to junior accounting staff, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
- Prepare and present financial reports, including monthly, quarterly, and year-end financial statements.
- Collaborate with other departments to support overall company goals and objectives.
- Develop and oversee the company"s annual budgeting process and assist in financial planning.
- Identify and implement process improvements for greater operational efficiency.
