Who We’re Looking For
The Vice President is responsible for harmonizing all business functions within the company, ensuring that everyone is working toward the same goals. This role requires a strategic thinker who can drive execution, align departments, and bring healthy accountability to our teams. The integrator will work closely with the CEO and department managers to ensure that the company is on track to meet its strategic objectives while adhering to GFI’s mission, vision, and values.

Primary Responsibilities:
- Execution of Vision: Collaborate with the CEO to translate the company’s vision into actionable steps that achieve the desired results.
- Operational Oversight: Oversee the daily operations of the company, ensuring that all departments are aligned and working efficiently.
- Cross-Departmental Alignment: Work closely with department heads to ensure that strategies and initiatives are integrated and executed cohesively.
- Performance Monitoring: Create and track key performance indicators (KPIs) across the company and ensure that goals are being met.
- Problem Solving: Quickly identify, assess, and resolve operational challenges to keep the company on course.
- Team Leadership: Lead, coach, and mentor department heads to optimize their effectiveness and professional growth.
- Accountability: Assists in creating goals for the departmental managers and holds them accountable for meeting their goals and adhering to the company's standards.
- Communication: Ensure that clear, consistent communication flows throughout the organization.
- Process Improvement: Identify areas of inefficiency and implement strategies to streamline processes and improve productivity.
- Culture Building: Foster a company culture that aligns with GFI’s core values, ensuring that the team is motivated, engaged, and committed to the company’s mission.
- Reporting: Provide regular updates to the CEO on the status of operations, highlighting successes, challenges, and areas for improvement.
- Change Management: Lead change initiatives within the organization, ensuring smooth transitions and minimal disruption to operations.
- Financial Planning/Tracking alongside the President and CEO: Setting rates for transportation services in alignment with market trends and profitability goals while analyzing revenue streams to ensure that services provided are profitable and adjusting strategies to maintain or grow profit margins.
Qualifications:
Education & Experience
Required:
- Bachelor’s degree in business, logistics, or a related field, OR equivalent experience in a senior operational role.
- 5 Years in Management/Leadership (i.e. 5 years of experience in leadership of teams of 5 or more people)
- Have a proven history of creating and implementing systems and processes within an organization
Preferred:
- Experience in the trucking, logistics, or transportation industry, with a strong understanding of operational best practices.
- Demonstrated community involvement. Example: volunteering or coaching.

Physical Requirements/Environmental Conditions:
The Integrator/Vice President will primarily work in an office setting but must be prepared to travel as needed to visit operational sites, meet with customers, or attend industry events. This role may involve extended periods of sitting, working on a computer, and managing multiple tasks simultaneously. The environment can be fast-paced and demanding, requiring the Integrator to manage stress and prioritize effectively.
Work Hours
Typical hours are Monday through Friday, 40 hours, with occasional flexibility according to business needs. This is not a remote position.
